This was my first ever build, and I gotta say this was an amazing experience for me.
I owned a lot of guitars over the years, but there is something special about making something your own.
In this case, I grabbed a replacement flame maple neck (which thankfully fits almost perfectly), switched out the control plate for a traditional tele style, and make my own pickguard out of some veneered plywood.
This guitar inspired me so much I actually ended up making some music with it:

The quality was excellent. No scratches, no dents and the neck was perfect. I upgraded the pickups and the control knob hardware, which I always do and ordered a different pick guard to suit my taste. There was nothing wrong with the stock equipment. After doing a complete setup I was amazed at how well it sounded. Perfect intonation all the way up the neck. This is my favorite guitar now. I am getting ready to buy another one.
