Guitar arrived quick (South Africa) and looks rad so was happy with that. The build has however been a different story. Wiring diagram does not match hardware supplied. I've now done my best to try make it work through online resources but to no luck. Clearly wrong and not working. I'm a noob so it's a learning curve. Customer support has been non existent. My first email regarding wiring took 2 weeks to be responded to. I replied with more info straight away and now 3 days later I have still heard nothing. My initial message on Facebook messenger was never replied to almost 3 weeks ago. Disappointed, the support service has been basically non existent, when you need it most as a first time builder.

I had a guitar that had pickups I really liked, but I hated the neck. I tried to find a body and neck on Reverb, but had no luck, so I figured I would give this a shot. It was my first build and I wanted to try and do this from start to finish so I could quit paying my luthier every time I tinker with something. I like to swap parts and I could have bought a new guitar last year with the amount I paid him. I was pleased with this product, but I wish I had sanded more before applying the stain - I live in the US, so I could not order the stain from Blackbeard, so I used one from Stewmac. I did use True Oil because it is readily available in the US. The red stain looked like the color of a hotdog, so I added several coats of True Oil and it darkened it up to a nice color. The parts all fit together great, I did not have to wrestle with anything. I used all of my parts - pickups, pots, bridge, tailpiece, tuners, knobs, etc. I did not use anything supplied, but it doesn't feel like it is top quality, but that is an observation more than factual. Of course, there is a cost factor and I was really after the body and neck, which I am quite pleased with. I still have a grounding issue somewhere with the pickups that I am working with, but I am pleased with the (almost) end result. I am glad I was able to learn a lot about the inner workings of the instrument, I will probably do it again down the road.

It looks beautiful, haven't gotten to building yet

Haven't started work on it yet as I've still got an old Cort bass to sort out along with an old Ibanez that I've shaped, probably poorly, and need to finish up and put together but had to rate the service: Exceptional, ordered and paid Friday afternoon and received it Monday morning, and damn, the guitar looks sexy.

The body is decent. Needs a lot of sanding. But that’s part of the fun.
Everything else will be thrown in the garbage where it belongs. Not worth 50 bucks total Nevermind 157.
